We have had a great start to the new year.  Look at the pictures at the end of the blog to see the fun the students are having!

RFA Coffee on Tuesday, January 12 right after drop-off in the foyer. Have a cup of coffee and enjoy the company of other parents.  It is a nice way to begin your day!

MOVE UP NIGHT Wednesday, January 20 6:00 p.m.
Join us for a light dinner and hear Headmaster Kevin Smith and Board of Trustees Chair, Tom Ellis tell you about the "State of the School".  Then go to hear about next year!  You will be able to sit in the classes of the teachers that your children will have next year and hear about their exciting programs.  Childcare will be available!  Please fill out the form so we know how many children are coming!  We are  also giving them dinner, so it is really important!


Please remember there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 18 to honor Dr. Martin Luther King.  Our Extended Day Program will be available for those of you who need child care.  Mrs. Beaugrand and Ms. Hernandez have planned a fun-filled day for the students.  The field trip is to bowling. I have attached the flyer to the email accompanying the blog.

1.  Recess is truly a learning place.  Some of the students were using their 7 Habits from our Leader in Me  program to synergize and work together to build an amazing fort around a tree in the park.

2.  Others used our sleds to have fun on the small hill!









3.  Of course having fun is not relegated just to recess.  Our students love learning in the classroom too.

Each week I will list all the activities that we offer, but do know that sometimes, some of them will not go.  Please check them to see which ones are going that week.

K-Lego Club will meet  Monday, January 11 in the Kindergarten Room from 3:15-4:00.
Gr. 1-4 Lego Club will meet Monday, January 11  in the 3rd Grade Classroom G13 from 3:15-4:00.
Programming will meet Monday, January 11 in the 4th Grade Classroom G12 from 3:15-4:00.
Martial Arts will meet Tuesday, January 12 in the Multi Purpose Room from 3:15-4:00.
Creative Improv will meet Wednesday, January 13 in the Gross Motor Room from 3:15-4:00.
Cross Country will  meet Wednesday, January 13 in the Multi-Purpose Room from 3:15-4:00. 
Chess Club will  NOT meet Thursday, January 14 in the EDP Room and G06 from 3:00-4:00 It begins January 21
Fitness Fun Friday will meet Friday, January 15 in the Gym from 3:15-4:00.
Spanish Club will meet Friday, January 8 in Room 227 with pickup in the Foyer.

A REMINDER: Please remember that Roycemore Lower School is a nut/peanut-free environment.  Please remember this when you send in birthday treats and snacks for your children.  There are many other allergies, specific to individual children, so please check with your classroom teacher before sending in treats.  Thank you in advance for caring about all of our children.
