Please remember there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 18 to honor Dr. Martin Luther King.  Our Extended Day Program will be available for those of you who need child care and pre-registered.  Mrs. Beaugrand and Ms. Hernandez have planned a fun-filled day for the students.  The field trip is bowling.

PREVIEW NIGHT Wednesday, January 20 6:00 p.m.
Join us for a light dinner and hear Headmaster Kevin Smith and Board of Trustees Chair, Tom Ellis tell you about the "State of the School".  Then go to hear about next year!  You will be able to sit in the classes of the teachers that your children will have next year and hear about their exciting programs.  Childcare will be available!  Please fill out the form so we know how many children are coming!  We are  also giving them dinner, so it is really important!

WINTER OLYMPICS Friday, January 22
On Friday, the First to Fourth Graders will be participating in Roycemore's "Winter Olympics"  as part of their physical education classes.  To make it more fun for the students, if you have it at home, please have them come with clothes that represent different countries that our families represent, such as traditional clothes or have a flag etc.  It is not a requirement, just a request if you have something in your house.

PICTURES THIS WEEK

1.  We love the snow! See our Pre-Kindergarten Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten students building a snowman on the playground with the snow that is left!

2.  The older students loved sledding with our new sleds. (Thank you Wendy Bach, Reagan Gr. 3, Christian Gr. 5 and Hailey Gr. 9)  Of course it would be better with more snow!

3.  Don't you love seeing children not always having to sit at their desks, but working and learning where they are comfortable as they are doing in the Fourth Grade.  Of course they can sit at desks if they want!

4. The Second Grade created wonderful tributes to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  See them all outside the Second Grade classroom.

See more pictures at the end of the blog!
