I hope you all had a wonderful break.  Don't forget school resumes on Tuesday, January 5.  We are all looking forward to seeing you all.

It looks like winter has finally come.  Please make sure the children have the proper clothes for going outside for recess. They need a jacket, hat, gloves, snow pants and boots.  We go outside when the temperature is 20 degrees or above and the wind chill in double digits.  I promise you it is fine out there with the proper clothing, as I go outside with them every day.

AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT:
We still have spaces in all of our clubs and activities.  If your child would like to attend and you have not signed them up, you may still do so.  I have attached all the flyers to the email accompanying the blog.

Please remember there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 18 to honor Dr. Martin Luther King.  Our Extended Day Program will be available for those of you who need child care.  Mrs. Beaugrand and Ms. Hernandez have planned a fun-filled day for the students.  The field trip is to Classic Bowl. I have attached a flyer to the email accompanying the blog.

1.  The Third Graders put on Trickster Tales for their parents and other Lower School students. See more pictures at the end of the blog.

2. We really believe that children need lots of physical activity which actually helps them learn better.  Recess is 45 minutes, plus a 30 minute lunch.  Starting at Kindergarten students get Physical Education every day.  Also all the teachers use websites, such as Go Noodle to have physical activities in the classroom. AND if they stay for EDP, they go outside for recess a second time.

Each week I will list all the activities that we offer, but do know that sometimes, some of them will not go.  Please check them to see which ones are going that week.

K-Lego Club will meet NOT Monday, January 4 in the Kindergarten Room from 3:15-4:00.
Gr. 1-4 Lego Club will NOT meet Monday, January 4  in the 3rd Grade Classroom G13 from 3:15-4:00.
Programming will NOT meet Monday, January 4 in the 4th Grade Classroom G12 from 3:15-4:00.
Martial Arts will meet Tuesday, January 5 in the Multi Purpose Room from 3:15-4:00.
Creative Improv will meet Wednesday, January 6 in the Gross Motor Room from 3:15-4:00.
Cross Country will  meet Wednesday, January 6 in the Multi-Purpose Room from 3:15-4:00. 
Chess Club will  NOT meet Thursday, January 7 in the EDP Room and G06 from 3:00-4:00 It begins January 21
Fitness Fun Friday will meet Friday, January 8 in the Gym from 3:15-4:00.
Spanish Club will meet Friday, January 8 in Room 227 with pickup in the Foyer.

A REMINDER: Please remember that Roycemore Lower School is a nut/peanut-free environment.  Please remember this when you send in birthday treats and snacks for your children.  There are many other allergies, specific to individual children, so please check with your classroom teacher before sending in treats.  Thank you in advance for caring about all of our children.
