Please remember this is the last week before our two-week Spring Break which begins after Palio on March 18 with school resuming on Monday April 4.  We will be running a Spring Break Camp during the second week, Monday, March 28-Friday, April 1.  There will be enriching activities and field trips.  I have attached a flyer to the email accompanying the blog.  There will be no blogs during the break until Sunday April 3.

PALIO 2016 will take place on Friday, March 18 (the last day before Spring Break) for Grades 1-4 at 6:00-7:30PM. Classes will end at 11:30AM with all students leaving Roycemore (except those in EDP) at dismissal and returning for the performances in the evening.  Palio is one of the oldest and most exciting traditions at Roycemore.  All of the students display what they have learned in physical education.  You will be amazed watching them perform.

A separate Palio for Pre-Kindergarten, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten will be held on Wednesday, March 16th from 8:45-9:45 a.m.  You will also be amazed at what our youngest children have accomplished this year in P.E.

PALIO ATTIRE
Students in Grades 1-4 need a pair of dark shorts, preferably navy blue, their Palio tee-shirt, (light blue)  and a pair of white socks with their gym shoes.  If you have a Palio shirt that still fits, please let your teacher know, and your child will not get a new one.

Students in PK, JK, and K will also get Palio shirts.  Please let your teacher know if you have one that still fits.  Mr. B asks that the children wear shorts or pants on the day of the show.

Congratulations to one of our Second Graders who, as a result of his research on Apollo 13, decided to write a letter, to Astronaut James Lovell and invite him to Roycemore.  He could not come, but sent a personalized letter and wonderful information about the experience.

ROYCEMORE SPIRIT STORE: TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS 3:30-4:30 PM
The Upper School Student Government has opened a Roycemore Spirit Store.  Open on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30-4:30PM, please come and peruse our Roycemore spirit gear, with youth and adult sizes available.  Location may change, but can primarily be found in the main lobby by the MPR or in the PE foyer.

Now is the time to sign up for DISCOVERY UNLIMITED AND CAMP. Because the NU Center For Talent Development will be using our building this summer, Discovery will take place the first two weeks after school is out, June 13-24.
A full description of the Discovery and Camp offerings are at http://www.roycemoreschool.org/summer   You will also find a link for online registration.

Discovery is starting a week before camp this year.  Therefore we will be offering an Extended Day Program until 3:00 p.m. for those of you who need childcare for the first week.  The children will be able to cycle into camp as usual for the second week, so we will be having childcare until our usual 6:00 for that week.
