ISACS ACCREDITATION TEAM HERE SUNDAY, APRIL 10-WEDNESDAY APRIL 13
As you may be aware, Roycemore's accrediting body is the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS). A step in the ISACS accreditation process includes hosting a visiting team, comprised of other independent school teachers and staff, who takes a careful look at Roycemore's program.  Members of Roycemore's accreditation team will be on campus beginning Sunday, April 10 through Wednesday, April 13, observing classes and activities and talking with members of our community.  We know you'll join us in welcoming them to Roycemore.

ROYCEMORE SPIRIT STORE: TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS 3:30-4:30 PM
The Upper School Student Government has opened a Roycemore Spirit Store.  Open on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30-4:30PM, please come and peruse our Roycemore spirit gear, with youth and adult sizes available.  Location may change, but can primarily be found in the main lobby by the MPR or in the PE foyer.

There is still room in both DISCOVERY UNLIMITED AND CAMP. Because the NU Center For Talent Development will be using our building this summer, Discovery will take place the first two weeks after school is out, June 13-24.
A full description of the Discovery and Camp offerings are at www.roycemoreschool.org/summer. You will also find a link for online registration.

Discovery is starting a week before camp this year.  Therefore we will be offering an Extended Day Program until 3:00 p.m. for those of you who need childcare for the first week.  The children will be able to cycle into camp as usual for the second week, so we will be having childcare until our usual 6:00 for that week.

PICTURES THIS WEEK:
1.  On Thursday and Friday of this week, our Fourth Graders traveled to Springfield IL, our state capital, as part of their study of Illinois history. They saw a lot of interesting sites there including the Lincoln Museum.

2.  Did you see the huge Sears' Tower, enormous truck and the blue whale constructed by our Junior Kindergartners as part of their construction unit? They were amazing!

3. The Third Graders constructed bridges as they learned engineering and physics principles.  Look for them by the window ledge in Lower School.

See more pictures at the bottom of the blog!
