THEME WEEK, ROYCEMORE, THE PAST 100 YEARS!
This week February 29-March 4 is Lower School Theme Week.  This year it is entitled Roycemore, The Past 100 Years!

See our time machine to take you back to events for the past 100 years!

Look for the timeline to see all the exciting events that the children are learning about.  Each class is learning about a quarter of a century of the following themes: Inventions, Music/Entertainment, US/World Events, Fashion and Food.

There will be a share time on Friday where each class will showcase what they have learned.

A lot of their creations will be made out of recycled materials. Therefore if you have any of the following, please send them to school during the next week.
Fashion magazines,
Clean recyclables and craft supplies that you may have around the house.
Cardboard boxes
Fabric
Buttons, yarn, thread, felt
Stars, pipe cleaners, colored duct tape
Paper Towels and toilet paper rolls
Plastic containers, egg cartons
Packing materials
Other you think we could use

YEARBOOK ADS  ARE SOLD OUT!
The yearbook staff thanks all the parents for their support!

Now is the time to sign up for DISCOVERY UNLIMITED AND CAMP. Because the NU Center For Talent Development will be using our building this summer, Discovery will take place the first two weeks after school is out, June 13-24.
A full description of the Discovery and Camp offerings are at http://www.roycemoreschool.org/summer   You will also find a link for online registration.

Discovery is starting a week before camp this year.  Therefore we will be offering an Extended Day Program until 3:00 p.m. for those of you who need childcare for the first week.  The children will be able to cycle into camp as usual for the second week, so we will be having childcare until our usual 6:00 for that week.

PICTURES THIS WEEK:
1. One of our after-school enrichment activities is Programming Club.  Thank you to Joe Maruszewski (Marko and Nino) for giving so unselfishly of your time.

        2.  Also thank you to Fran Langewisch (Dan) for talking about Lunar New Year to our Junior Kindergarteners.

3. The Third Grade presented their "Wax Museum" today.  It was truly spectacular!  Every student took on the persona of an important person in American History.
