Now is the time to sign up for DISCOVERY UNLIMITED AND CAMP. Because the NU Center For Talent Development will be using our building this summer, Discovery will take place the first two weeks after school is out, June 13-24.
A full description of the Discovery and Camp offerings are at http://www.roycemoreschool.org/summer   You will also find a link for online registration.

Discovery is starting a week before camp this year.  Therefore we will be offering an Extended Day Program until 3:00 p.m. for those of you who need childcare for the first week.  The children will be able to cycle into camp as usual for the second week, so we will be having childcare until our usual 6:00 for that week.

ROYCEMORE HAPPENINGS
It is so nice that our students are able to get out into the community to take advantage of all that Chicago has to offer.  On Friday, for example, the 2nd Graders went to the Field Museum to investigate their dinosaur exhibit, while the PK, JK and K kids all went to the Kohl Children's Museum.

PICTURES THIS WEEK
1. The First Graders were using their reasoning, engineering and geometry knowledge to create toothpick and marshmallow pyramids.

2.  A Kindergarten student showing her leadership skills as she leads calendar time. See some of the other students working hard at the bottom of the blog

3.  The Second Graders were paleontologists this week. They actually went into the Upper School science lab to work!  They then went to the Field Museum to continue their studies.
