All children in Grades 1-4 will be participating in singing. The Third and Fourth Graders will join the Middle and Upper School in dance-tumbling. It is always a wonderful show and a great Roycemore tradition. We hope to see you all there.
The show will start at 7:00PM. Students should arrive to their classrooms around 6:30 and no later than 6:45.

HOUR OF CODE FAMILY CELEBRATION FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11
The Hour of Code is a week-long, global effort to get kids to learn about computer programming, an essential 21st Century skill. This year Hour of Code Week is December 7-13. Just like last year, Roycemore will participate in a few ways. Most of our students, in all grade levels, will complete coding lessons during class throughout the week. The week will end with our 2nd annual Family Coding Celebration. This fun family event will take place Friday, December 11, from 3:15-5:15 pm in the MPR. A TIME OF GIVING
Although we promote community service all year long, this is the time of year that the Roycemore community does many things to contribute to the greater community around us.
1. NON-PERISHABLE FOOD DRIVE FOR THE NILESS TOWNSHIP FOOD PANTRY, FRIDAY 11/20 THROUGH WEDNESDAY 12/9
2. TOYS-FOR TOTS COLLECTION MONDAY 11/3O THROUGH FRIDAY 12/11
3. PROJECT LINUS FRIDAY 12/18 (donations needed by 12/17)
As part of our Wassail celebration, all members of the Roycemore community (parents welcome) will work together to create fleece blankets for Project Linus. If you can donate two yards of fleece, it would be appreciated.
CLOSURE ON RIDGE AVENUE
There will be closures on Ridge Avenue between Church and Davis next week from Monday, December 7 through Thursday December 10 while the City of Evanston performs work on the water mains. Ridge will be reduced from four to two lanes until the work is completed. Please plan to leave extra time to get to and from school next week. It is recommended that if you normally use Ridge, you might consider an alternate route next week.

AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT
Each week I will list all the activities that we offer, but do know that sometimes, some of them will not go. Please check them to see which ones are going that week.
K-Lego Club will meet Monday, December 7 in the Kindergarten Room from 3:15-4:00.Gr. 1-4 Lego Club will meet Monday, December 7 in the 3rd Grade Classroom G13 from 3:15-4:00.
Programming will meet Monday, December 7 in the 4th Grade Classroom G12 from 3:15-4:00.
Martial Arts will meet Tuesday, December 8 in the Multi Purpose Room from 3:15-4:00.
Creative Improv will meet Wednesday, December 9 in the Gross Motor Room from 3:15-4:00.
Cross Country will meet Wednesday, December 9 in the Gym Foyer from 3:15-4:00.
Chess Club will meet Thursday, December 10 in the EDP Room and G06 from 3:00-4:00
Fitness Fun Friday will NOT meet Friday, December 11 in the Gym from 3:15-4:00 because of Hour of Code Celebration.
Spanish Club will NOT meet Friday, December 4 in Room 227 with pickup in the Foyer because of the Hour of Code Celebration.
A REMINDER: Please remember that Roycemore Lower School is a nut/peanut-free environment. Please remember this when you send in birthday treats and snacks for your children. There are many other allergies, specific to individual children, so please check with your classroom teacher before sending in treats. Thank you in advance for caring about all of our children.
