We started the week with the
1. Fourth Graders "leading" us in our Monday Morning Meeting, and Third Graders participating.
2. The LEADER IN ME is starting to be evident in Lower School as a group of Third and Fourth Graders rushed to help a friend clean after a dropped plate.
3. Our Pre-Kindergarten children are already starting to learn fabulous things. See them below watching closely as they learn calendar and weather.
4. At Roycemore, we believe that our students' education is more than being in school. Therefore, you will see them out and around our community. This week the Fourth Graders visited the Evanston Historical Society (Dawes House) in their study of the history of Evanston and the Evanston Ecology Center to learn how to test soil and water, while the Second Graders visited The Grove in their study of Native Americans.

You may still register in enrichment activities that have room. Please let me know a.s.a.p. if your child wants to join one. Please register directly with Mudlarks Theater Group on their website.

Gr. 1-4 Lego Club will meet Monday, September 21 in the 2nd Grade Classroom G13 from 3:15-4:00.
Programming will meet Monday, September 21 in the 4th Grade Classroom G12 from 3:15-4:00.
Martial Arts will meet Tuesday, September 22 in the Multi Purpose Room from 3:15-4:00.
Creative Improv will NOT meet Wednesday, September 23 in the Gross Motor Room from 3:15-4:00.
Cross Country will NOT meet Wednesday, September 23 in the Gym Foyer from 3:15-4:00.
Chess Club will meet Thursday, September 24 in the EDP Room and G06 from 3:00-3:50.
Fitness Fun Friday will meet Friday, September 25 in the Gym from 3:15-4:00.
A REMINDER: Please remember that Roycemore Lower School is a nut/peanut-free environment. Please remember this when you send in birthday treats and snacks for your children. There are many other allergies, specific to individual children, so please check with your classroom teacher before sending in treats. Thank you in advance for caring about all of our children.
